The spotlight search keeps opening whilst I’m typing, I’ll be writing on a word document and it opens every 5-10 keystrokes. Also when typing in the spotlight search, it closes. The MacBook is 2 months old and the keyboard is clean and not sticky. Not sure what to do. Thanks all in advance.

For purposes of troubleshooting & possible resolution of problematic symptom
you could try startup in Safe mode; user password required, and run the utility.
Instructions include both, Apple Silicon and intel-based Macs.
To 'quit' Safe mode, restart the Mac normally; w/ no keys held.

Thanks for the reply, I actually found the cause, it was Adobe Suite, once uninstalled, the problem no longer happens.
OK. That's good to hear.
To use Safe mode has worked to resolve issues
where the cause is unknown, without residue.
[So that's an idea where 're-start' could do more.]
