Volume up, volume down...no top button....Mine has a touch ID. no matter how long I hold my finger on it, nothing happens. So tell me the hack to get my a2316 back to life. Im stuck on the screen with "support.apple.com/ipad/restore"
Use the side button with Touch ID in place of the top button. You need to actually press it down, not just hold your finger on it.
It should click when you press it down. Same click it makes when you press it to turn on the screen.
It may not move down a lot but it will click. Once it clicks keep holding it down.
It doesn't actually push in. The finger id "button" is not a button. its a solid glass "resting" thingy
what does that mean? "documentation"?
If I found something in the documentation, I doubt I would have posted in this forum.

sorry it doesn't even move a hair thick wise. it a solid glass that doesn't move whatsoever. ,may need to visit an apple store
