Air Pod Life Expectancy

I have one of the original AirPods, one that I bought in January 2017. Recently I've noticed that when I take them out of the case to use them, one is only ever charged to about 81%, and the other a little bit more. Is this to be expected since they are more than four years old?

What happens if my left AirPod goes out again past my one year warranty? It’s a thing. Second generation left AirPods stops charging at some point. I’ve seen several people with the problem online and the Apple store confirmed it today as a common problem. Apple store was fast and efficient at replacing both AirPods at no cost, but I’m still under my one year warranty. If this is so common, what if it happens again outside of my one year warranty? Will i still get new pods at no cost? Do i need to extend my warranty?

One AirPod Dies Really Fast Hello, I have a set of AirPod Pro's I purchased 2 years ago. Lately when I charge my case and the AirPods to 100%, and then use them, the left AirPod dies in about 30 minutes while the right one last the normal amount of time. I tried cleaning them, resetting the case, etc. I also tried setting the right one to be the one used for audio, but it makes no difference. Is 2 years the normal timeframe for them to start dying? They are out of warranty and I'm wondering if I should just order a new pair. Thanks

Yes

Rechargeable batteries degrade over time, have a limited number of charge cycles.
