Hi dj042103,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having an issue with the Calendar app on your iPhone. We're happy to help.

When viewing, do you see the option to hit 'Done' at the top right of the screen? If not, we'd recommend force closing the app and reopening to test. If needed the steps here can help: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch

You can also find helpful information in the guide here: Create and edit events in Calendar on iPhone

Should the issue continue after force closing the app, test a normal restart of your iPhone as well: Restart your iPhone

Best!

Hi dj042103,

Thanks for the information. We also recommend force closing the app with the steps previously provided. If the issue continues, check if you have any zoom or text features enabled.

Change the font size on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Zoom in on the iPhone screen

If enabled, temporarily disable and test. Should the issue remain, backup the information on your iPhone and ensure your device is fully updated.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're still unable to close the Calendar app to view your events, contact Apple Support.

Contact Apple Support

Contact Apple for support and service

Cheers!

dj042103,

Happy to help clarify. You'll see events based on the iCloud account you're signed into or that is added to your calendar accounts. Step four in the article here: If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won’t sync states the following:

"Make sure that you're signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID on all of your devices. Then, check that you turned on Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders* in your iCloud settings. "

You can also check the settings for your default calendar on all devices: Keep your Calendar up to date with iCloud

However, as you're still unable to view actual events in the calendar app or see the 'Done' option as shown in the image here: Set up multiple calendars on iPhone we'd recommend continuing to work with Apple Support directly. They can further assist with ensuring the actual app is working as expected.

Best!

Thanks. Tried all that and it’s still not working. With the assistance of Apple support, they helped change my Apple ID. The older Apple ID is where all the calendar entries are. Had I known it would erase the calendar entries, I would’ve never done it.

Just so happens, the calendar entries I need are on my Apple Watch which has not been reset to the new Apple ID yet. Any chance I can use the Apple Watch to sync backwards to my phone?
