Attachments on shared appointments in Calendar not opening using native iOS Calendar application with Exchange sync to Microsoft Office 365

Hello,

I need little help please - we have a user who has an issue with opening attachments on appointments from Office 365 in the native IOS client on iPhone and iPad - can someone point me in the right direction on how to report this issue to Apple?

The initial reported error is:

1. That if they create an appointment using Outlook on the desktop for themselves only and attach a word/pdf document and open it on the native calendar app on the iPhone the word document works.

2. That if they create an appointment using Outlook on the desktop for themselves and add another person to the calendar entry and attach a word/pdf document and open it on the native calendar app on the iPhone/iPad the word/pdf document won’t open.

3. The users reports that this issue appears to occur, if creating a shared appointment in Office 365

The Microsoft Outlook iOS app doesn't experience this issue, suspect a bug in the Active-sync implementation on iOS iPhone and iPad

This is the first time posting, so if I have posted in the wrong channel apologies - let me know the best place to tag this.

iPhone is on iOS Version 14.6

Thanks for any help with this issue.

Hello Southern_Kiwi.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're unable to view attachments using using Outlook. Allow us to share some information with you. Please check out the resource below:

If you can’t add iCloud Calendars, Mail, or Contacts to Outlook - Apple Support

Scroll down to the bottom under "iCloud features that work differently in Outlook". There is a Calendar section at the bottom that states the following: "When you add Calendar attachments to a Calendar entry in Outlook, you won't see them in Calendar for iOS or Calendar for macOS (or the other way around)."

This could be expected behavior. However, you did mention that they're able to view this information if they create an appointment for themselves only. This might be something that you will want to reach out to Apple Support for. Use the link below to reach them:
