I have just setup my new iPhone 12. Email app showing 19 unread messages, however there isn’t any unread messages? I have tried disabling and turning phone off/on, I have tried marking all as ‘read’, I have tried the latest software update. I have basically tried every suggestion on the internet and they still won’t go away! Does anyone know how to fix this please?

Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Once you have deleted and added the affected account again, test again to see if the issue is still present.
We would also recommend making sure your iPhone 12 is fully updated with the latest iOS: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
