WHY doesn’t the phone show me that I have a voicemail? I have to go search on the keypad, enter #1 to find out if I have a message. I am thinking of eliminating my landline phone, but wish there was an easier way to KNOW I have a voicemail on my cell phone.
This is my Tracfone Apple 12SE just purchased in DEc 2020.

Visual Voicemail is a carrier feature, so you need to get help from Tracphone.

No, they didn't design a special model just for Tracphone.
Do you have the Phone app on the home screen? If yes then it should show a red circle with a white number in it when you get a message. Is it not doing that?
Tracfone is NOT a typo. It’s a pay as you go service. Apple developed a Special Edition SE just fo tracfone.
Yes, I have a voicemail icon when I press on the phone icon. It does not tell me I have a phone message.
Sounds like you want me to check with Tracfone — my carrier.
There is NO problem with my getting phone messages.
Being an Apple phone, I figured that Apple could tell me WHY a message is NOT showing up on the phone.

In the phone app, do you have a voicemail icon? Have you contacted your carrier for help?

I have a Tracfone Apple 12 SE. Voicemail IS set up & working.
