iOS Notes App Hyperlink Hypersensitivity Challenges Pasting or Editing Text In Its Vicinity

You create a note that contains a URL hyperlink. At a later time, you are challenged when editing your note attempting to add additional text (or whitespace) before or after the hyperlink, resulting in activating and opening of the URL target link in Safari or other destination app instead of modifying the surrounding text as per intended.

Adding additional blank lines, or other characters before creating the hyperlink, or putting the hyperlink in a bulleted list does nothing to reduce the hypersensitivity of the link; you must either create a new note and then paste the link, or edit the note from a web browser on a computer in iCloud.
