Too dark screen

Despite that I've set the light settings to max, the screen looks like it is set to the minimal light settings. What can I do to increase the brightness of the apple watch 6 screen?

No there is no way to disable it,

"Unlike the ambient light sensors on smartphones, the sensor for the Watch is likely one of Apple's solar cell ambient light sensors, and "this allows for the sensor to be behind the display panel, as opposed to the traditional surface-mounted design seen on the majority of smartphones and tablets.

This is also how the place your palm to turn off screen works.(If you place your palm flat directly over the screen it turns off the screen/mutes incoming calls)

This is the ambient light sensor kicking in,this adjusts your screen brightness to match the surrounding area, there is no setting or configuration for this.
