I have an IPod Classic with several playlist and have never figured out why many of the songs do not play?

Are the songs grayed out? Were you able to check the link above?
What happens if you sync those songs from the computer to your iPod again? Do they work without issue?

I have a classic iPod with several playlist. They have a combination of CD's I have imported along with music purchased from the music store. I have noticed the purchased music doesn't play on my iPod but it does on my computer. Any ideas?

What I am finding is that I apparently need to download some to my device to make them play and then sync. Thanks for the help.
No that is the odd thing. Some are grayed out yet they play but most greyed out songs do not. I am able to sync and I do it regularly but that doesn't seem to make a difference. The biggest issue appears to be with music from the music library.
