Lossless Audio and Dongle

I know the iPhone dongle to 3.5mm aux plugin is limited to 24-bit/48kHz. If I use my dongle but plug it into my receiver that has a built-in DAC of 24-bit/192kHz, will I still be limited to the dongle's capabilities or will the signal be processed up to my receivers capabilities?

It'll still be limited.

The Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter output an analog signal. It's already passed through a DAC.

In order to reach 192 kHz sample rate you have to use a Lightning-USB connection with a DAC carrying an USB input.
