Siri cannot make Whatsapp calls

Hi All

Suddenly Siri doesn't want to make WhatsApp calls anymore. Everything was working fine and about a month ago when I say "Hey Siri, call my Fiancé with WhatsApp" or "Hey Siri call "Dan" with WhatsApp" it responds to me with the following. "Sorry I don't have a WhatsApp number for "Dan", which number for "Dan" . Then it lists all the numbers I have for "Dan". I respond then with the number that's used for WhatsApp but then it makes a normal Cellular call to the person

Scenario 2: I say "Hey Siri, make a WhatsApp call, it the prompts me for the person I would like to call, when I say the Name it makes a normal Cellular call to the person instead of a WhatsApp call

I used an iPhone 6s but changed over to iPhone8 today and still its doing the same thing

I checked all settings to make sure Siri is allowed in Contact, WhatsApp etc., even uninstalled WhatsApp and reinstalled but still not working

Hi, so I got the call from Apple support July 27 2021 and they asked me to restore my phone via iTunes. And then set it up as new phone. And then download WhatsApp. This has actually worked!! But when I restored my backup it stopped working again. So as per Apple support, there something in my back up that is causing it.. so unfortunately I have to restore my phone in order to have Siri working again with WhatsApp..

so restore your phone and manually download all the apps.. but unfortunately you will lose all your data.
