Apple files bug

I have many documents saved on apple files (.pdf most of all) and at times a file gets all the content replaced with the content in the previous file. Therefore I end up with both files A and B filled with content A, and no file with content B. How is it possible? Why do these changes occur by themselves? Waiting for a response, it’s pretty irritating considering the amount I paid for an iPad pro.

Thank you for your attention

Your post is extremely confusing for many reasons, all having to do with the absence of essential information. Here are a few examples.

  • ”I end up with both files A and B…”
    • End up … after doing what?
    • With what application?
    • What version number?
    • Do “A” and “B” imply different file names? Or different versions of the same file?
  • ”Saved on Apple Files“ - where exactly? (Files is not a location. It is a utility.)
  • How are these files created?
  • How are they modified?
  • What software names and version numbers are involved?

I downloaded different pdf files from Safari and saved them in the iCloud folder in the “Files” application. Let’s say I named these pdf documents “A” “B” and “C” (not different version of the same file, literally different files). Sometimes it happens that the content (but not the name) in the document “B” changes all of a sudden and get substituted by the content in document “A”. So, in the end I have the document “A” and “B” with the same content (the “A” content). “A” content goes inside “B” file, randomly.

Sorry for the inappropriate technical language. The point is, a document in the iCloud drive location contains the stuff of another. In digestive system lecture I was supposed to have the stuff relating the digestive system but somehow they turned into the same content of “respiratory system lecture” (as you can see, the preview image is the same even if the files are not supposed to be). Has it ever happened to anyone? Is there a way to fix these sudden changes of contents?

Hope I’ve been clear
