Some app icons have square/right angle corners (not rounded)

A few weeks ago my iphone started displaying some app icons as squares without rounded corners. It's only happening with some of the apps though. I noticed that when I open the app and then go back to the home screen, the app icon corners are rounded again for a few seconds before switching back to being square.

Some of the apps in question are:

Spotify
Ally bank
Target
Redfin
Facebook

I tried restarting my phone but that didn't help. Does anyone know what's going on and how to resolve this?

Failing that resolution, use the Get Support link in the upper right, and discuss this with Apple.

Above assumes this iPhone has not been jailbroken.

Thanks for your response. That's way too much work...

Luckily, I tested deleting one of the apps in question and reinstalling it and that resolved the issue.
