belken thunderbolt 3 cable

I purchased a Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Cable (100 watts, 6.5 Feet/ 2 Meters, F2CD085bt2M-BLK) from Amazon for to connect my 2020 27" iMac to my Universal Audio Apollo x8p audio interface. When I connected the cable, it caused my iMac to shut down. The crash report said it was a kernel panic.

I am returning the Belkin cable and ordering an Apple Thunderbolt 3 cable. But has anyone else experienced this issue?

**SOLVED**

When I connect my Apollo Twin and Apollo x8p using the two Thunderbolt 3 ports on the back of the iMac, all the cables I've tried (Belkin cable, Apple 0.8m, Apple Pro Cable 2.0m) caused the iMac to crash.

When I connect *just* the Apollo x8p to the iMac then connect the Apollo Twin to the 2nd Thunderbolt 3 port on the back of the Apollo x8p, everything works properly.

I'll make Apple and UA aware of the issue.
