Hi Berryetta,

We understand that you're currently unable to access the App Store on your Mac, and you're on the right track by following If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services

We're happy to provide additional help. From what you're describing, it sounds like there may be a network-related issue. Does your Mac have any VPN networks or managed profiles installed? This could include a VPN network necessary to connect to a business or university network. If so, does the behavior continue if you remove the VPN network?

If a port is blocked, either on the network or through security software, that can prevent the App Store from connecting as well. We have more information here: TCP and UDP ports used by Apple software products

Please let us know what you find, and we'll work from there.

Have a great day.

The App store app opens to a blank page.

I have no VPN network or managed profiles installed. I have no other security software besides using Firefox as my browser. When I open itunes it says "Unable to verify the identity of the server "s.mzstatic.com. The certificate for this server is invalid."

I have no idea what this means. This all started when I synced my iphone to my Mac Castalina OS. The Mssic I have is in the icloud drive but I cannot get the songs to list individually.

Thank you.

Berryetta

Hi Berryetta,

These details help quite a bit, thanks! When you say you're trying to open iTunes, do you mean you're trying to connect to the iTunes Store in the Music app? If so, is your Mac currently connected to a private Wi-Fi network in your home? Are any other devices in the home, such as the iPhone, having problems connecting to the App Store using the same Wi-Fi network? This will help us better determine if the problem is isolated to the Mac, or if it's a wider network-related issue.

All the best.
