Sharing iPhone notes to Google Docs

the notes app gives me the option to share my notes to Google drive, however, whenever I do so, the document I open in docs is nothing like the note I shared. It looks like pages of code or script (and idk computer coding, so I’m at a loss as to what I’m looking at). Maybe it’s a user error, or maybe my phone is just too old (it’s a 6). If anyone else has this problem/knows how to fix it, I’d appreciate the help! Thank you!
