Adding Comcast email account get message "unable to verify account or password" SOLUTION
I have seen many with this problem. I had it and worked on the solutions suggested on forums but nothing worked. Finally, I thought to change my password on that Xfinity email account that I was trying to sync with Apple Mail and it worked. Just don't forget to update the new password on all your devices. I hope that save some people the hours I spent trying to solve it!
