My new IPhone is asking for a passcode I don’t know. If there a standard password they come with?

Hello,I have a iphone8, I removed the SIM card and put it( the old SIM card)in a brand new iPhone 12. First thing that came up is asking to unlock the phone. I tried my usual password. It did not work.
Did you buy it brand new or from someone else?
Did you insert the SIM card?
It could be the SIM card PIN to unlock your sim. There should be a standard PIN for each respective telco in your country.
