Email password rejected

I have just purchased a new MacBook Air 13", and I also have an iPhone and a Mac desktop.

I use bigpond email on all my devices, but when setting up my mail account the password is rejected, I know this password is correct because it works on my other devices, also I have gone to the bigpond website and I can log in using this password.

Hope you can help.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.


For testing, make a new User Account: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac - Apple Support. Then, try to setup your Mail. If it is accepted there, something is wrong with your User Account. If it isn't accepted there, you need to contact your Mail provider.
