What happens to the apps that are in an iPhone that was dissociated from the apple ID account?

I keep two different Iphones, in the oldest one I have the bank app where I am from and I keep it home because I can't lose it (otherwise I'd need to travel 14hrs to make the app work again) - nothing can ever happen to this app, so that's why the region of my Apple ID is still from my home country. The thing is that now I need to change the region so I can download the covid app from where I live, which is connect to the region again, and I can't have it because the region is set for the bank app. Let's say remove the old phone from the apple ID account so I can keep it in the current region... what happens to the apps that are there? Will they still work?

Old apps will remain on the phone and will work as long as they are supported. You won't be able to update them using a different Apple Account or store country where they are not available. You also won't be able to re-download them should you need to change equipment or they be deleted from your device.
