Shortcuts won't show on Apple Watch

The shortcuts on my iPhone (iOS 14.6) won't show on my Apple Watch (watchOS 7.5). I have tried solutions listed in this topic (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251845479) and a related topic on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/shortcuts/comments/iumfox/shortcuts_are_not_syncing_between_iphonewatch_on/)


Tried: rebooting watch and phone, switch off/on bluetooth and wifi on both devices, uninstalled shortcuts app (checked that it was also gone from watch) then reinstalled it, closed shortcut app on watch and phone and restarted the app. iCloud syncing is on, and for each shortcut the 'Show on Apple Watch' toggle switch is on.


None of this worked, the shortcuts app on the watch just does not list any shortcut.


Does anyone know of other fixes?

I had removed the default shortcuts since I did not need them. But, unpairing and then pairing the watch with the phone again did solve the issue and my shortcuts are now showing! Thanks!
