I can't update my computer how do I swipe it and reboot?

There are a few slightly different articles which cover various aspects

of re-install, erase and install, start up to install a certain version, etc.


Here's one, may or not be what you need.

(install options are shown in this article)

You might need to erase your disk first.


Options are told among another instruction

'what to do before you sell, give away.. mac'


Consider what kind of backup you have of

macOS presently on Mac's drive. If none, a

Time Machine backup, to external storage

takes time but saves you volumes of effort.


"The best way to restore your Mac to factory settings

is to erase your hard drive and reinstall macOS."
