sorry for asking a newbie question but after updating to Big Sur 11.4 just now
my USB-C are not working at all, even when I plug in my external monitor or the USB-C charger that comes with the MBA M1 2020
Anyone experiencing the same thing?

Intel Mac Try resetting the SMC http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964
if this is a M1 Mac —Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262
then reboot as normal to test

Ended up bringing it to the apple store and apparently the whole processor got changed 😅😱🎉

But if that’s the case then shouldn’t my external 4k monitor that use USB-C cable work then?
i tried different cables like this adapter for USB (for my bluetooth logitech mouse) and it doesnt work too
Is the USB-C Cable an OEM Cable. If Yes, it the cable Directly connected to the computer or plugged into a Hub and Hub is connected to computer.
Tried the SMC reset as well as safeboot - both are not working
Had diagnostic test too
Nope I’m using the original macbook M1 adapter and I tried other cables and even external monitor’s usb c cable and nothing is working. Both of the ports are dead :/
Ok. The message in the screen shots indicates the Real Issue is not the usb-c ports on the computer but the Adapter Itself.
Time to consider have both the computer and Adapter Evaluated by Apple
One of my usb-C ports isn't working as well after 3 weeks post updating to 11.5.1.
Coincidentally exactly a year after buying my imac 5k, 27inch and losing that year long coverage for repairs.
