cannot stop an upload
How do I stop an upload? the x in the status bar is grayed out and there is no apparent way to cancel a folder transfer

Thanks Dilbert, of course the perennial problem is the awful, incomplete, poorly written Apple user guides.
Turned out the way you do it is delete the folder in finder (even while it is uploading). Bingo, upload disappears, but the user guide never tells you how to do it.
