Deleted iMessage from macbook

Good morning,

I accidentally deleted a file from my imessages that was titled "chat.db" and now I can't get or receive imessages on my mac, is there anyway I can fix this? Thank you in advance!

Downloading iMessages on MacBook Interrupted I opened my Mac after months of not using it to see whether my imessages were coming up on my computer as well. When I opened the messages app it started downloading all of my messages. While downloading I sent a message from my Mac to a friend.The download immediately stopped and hasn't continued. I am getting the new messages my friends are sending but there is a gap between the date that it stopped the download on (May 28th) and today. So all the messages from May 28th till now are no longer downloading.. How can I get it to continue downloading.

temporarily clear imessage on mac Hello! I am trying to download MacOS Monterey but i do not have enough storage on my Mac. My imessages take up the most space, is there a way that I can logout of my account and clear the messages to install Monterey, but then log back in and re-upload the imessages after? (assuming they stay in icloud because it is synced with my phone) Same idea as taking my email accounts off of mail, and then logging back in and my inbox syncs back up. Thank you!!

Is the chat.db in the Trash Bin ?? If so, move it back to the location it was deleted from.
