I have a series 6 watch and have become seriously frustrated with have to unlock it over 50x per day. I will tap the code in and 3 seconds later it’s locked. I want the watch to accumulate the fitness metrics and use Apple Pay and it’s so annoying to miss messages and calls since it’s locked. Anyone else have this issue?

Well that doesn't sound right at all, perhaps a hardware malfunction (?). By default, your Apple Watch locks automatically only when you’re not wearing it. To change the wrist detection setting, do the following.
on your Apple Watch.Are you wearing it snugly. Check these instructions as well.
