How to increase Macbook Pro M1 screen refresh rate

I tried to increase the screen refresh rate by searching Displays in settings but I couldn't find any option for refresh rate .

I know macbook pro m1 comes with 60hz refresh rate and I was wondering is there a way to increase the refresh rate ?

MacbookPro 14' (M1 Pro) ProMotion display not working I just bought my new M1 Pro 14 inch MPB, at first the ProMotion is working perfectly until after a few days. I noticed that the refresh rate is not running full 120hz ( I have an iPad Pro with ProMotion for reference) I checked the settings and it did show that the ProMotion setting is on however for some reason it's stuck at 60hz. Can't change display refresh rate on MacBook Pro 16" Per Apple, the display refresh rate can be changed on all 16" MacBook Pro models (Change the refresh rate on your 16-inch MacBook Pro or Apple Pro Display XDR - Apple Support). Supposedly this is done by going into System Preferences > Displays. The support article says there should be an option for changing the refresh rate, but whenever I go into the display prefs, the option for changing the refresh rate does not appear. Am I missing something? Where is the option to change the refresh rate of my screen? Is there a terminal command or some workaround that would allow me to change the refresh rate?

As you have discovered, there is no adjustable setting available to manually increase/decrease the refresh rate of a M1 MacBook Pro.
