MacbookPro 14' (M1 Pro) ProMotion display not working

I just bought my new M1 Pro 14 inch MPB, at first the ProMotion is working perfectly until after a few days. I noticed that the refresh rate is not running full 120hz ( I have an iPad Pro with ProMotion for reference) I checked the settings and it did show that the ProMotion setting is on however for some reason it's stuck at 60hz. Is there any way to reset the screen settings or anything to fix this?

Hi Roylin0530,

We understand that you are using ProMotion with your new MacBook Pro to have a refresh rate up to 120Hz, but it is currently only using 60Hz. ProMotion is an adaptive refresh rate. Do you notice this happening on every screen or app you use with your MacBook Pro? Additional details can help us understand better and provide possible next steps.

Does restarting your MacBook Pro help resolve this? Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac It can seem like a simple step, but it can sometimes help resolve issues.

We see that you tagged that your MacBook Pro is running macOS 12. You could update to macOS 12.1 and see if that may help:

Let us know if those steps help or if you've already completed those steps.

Best wishes.
