Bluetooth pairing pin?

Someone i know recently tried to connect a pair of first gen airpods to a non apple device and got a message asking for a "pairing request pin". I searched the community and noone had an answer . i was told to enter 0000 but when i did there was no highlighted ok button to click. So i had to hit cancel. Again and again.I found the solution by mistake by mistake. Type in 0000 all the way to the end but not until the space turns red. Its just before. The ok button highlights and ur on. Try it. I doubt anyone will ever need it but there u go.
