Search in finder in a folder blocked on Spotlight

I have a folder that I don't want to show on Spotlight search (command+space), so I added it on the privacy section of Spotlight on system preferences.

But now when I'm in that folder on Finder, I can't search for any file, which defeats the purpose of using Finder to... find a file.

Is there any way to solve this?

Finder doesn't find files when I look in the specific folder that actually contain the files When I search for a file in Finder there is no problem finding that as long as I search in "This Mac", but if I narrow the search to the folder where the file actually "lives" Finder cannot find it. So if I look for files containing the word "foo" I will find all such files on the entire machine, but if I want to look for all such files in a specific folder I don't get any results back. I have tried to reindex spotlight on one specific folder but that didn't help unfortunately.

opening all finder search results When I search for a particular file or folder name and Spotlight returns several items, can I select and open them all at once? thanks MacBook Air Mojave

The Finder search function uses the Spotlight index to locate files.

So you would need to remove the folder from the Privacy section in Spotlight preferences.

This dont work in my case.

Spotlight cant find the calculator which is in the default location /programmer/verktøy which in english is /applications/tools
