Here's something from Apple Support –
How to use a pointer device with AssistiveTouch on your iPhone... – Apple Support:

This document describes using a wired device with your iDevice. Maybe there's some limitation of Bluetooth that keeps the wireless devices off the table for this?
Again, I want to be able to use my Apple Trackpad as a pointing device on my iPhone 12 mini, is this possible? The bluetooth enabled Apple trackpad does not appear as an available pointing device in Accessibility> Touch>assistive touch>pointer devices.
Thank you

I've seen some article online regarding using the trackpad with the iPad... but none that describe using one for the iPhone.
Seems a bit of unnecessary kit as the iPhone is itself a trackpad of sorts.
You might google that.
Thanks. I want to be able to use a pointer on the iPhone to aid in teaching it over Zoom.
That is helpful, thank you
You're welcome.🙂
I hope you get this sorted in a positive way.
Thank you,
It appears that I would then be able to connect the track pad (after turning it back on) to my iPhone 12 mini through the Accessibility >touch >assistive touch>devices settings on my iPhone. My iPhone does not show the track pad as an available pointer device. Thanks again for your assistance
