“My Card”

When I write an email someone else’s “My Card” appears instead of my own. I’ve removed that person from my address book, and now the “My Card” that attaches to my emails is The Gap! I’ve tried all the fixes I can find online, checked and re-checked my Apple id info, even added my own name to the address book on AOL, and the problem persists.

When I send emails to myself, they end up in the “drafts” file…just an additional FYI.

This has only started since I changed to a new iPhone 11. It is infuriating.

You are referring to Address book and AOL however the “My Card” is located in the Contacts app on your iPhone.

Open the Contacts app and then scroll all the way up until you see “My Card”. Correct the information there and save it. If I have misunderstood your question then please explain why you feel that AOL mail is related to your “My Card” information. Thanks.

I understand the distinction you are making, and I cannot explain it, but the AOL app and the iPhone’s “My Card” information are clearly cross-referencing for some reason. I have ‘ ‘corrected’ (actually re-entered the “My Card” info through the Contacts app—it was correct to begin with, but I deleted and started over—several times). This is a problem that began with my new iPhone 11. (Which was purchased last week.). It would beg belief to think the two were not related.
