Hi there. My fiancee's Mid 2014 MacBook Pro is running Yosemite. I'm trying to upgrade to Catalina through Safari, since I am unable to do it from the Mac App Store, but I keep getting a "500 Internal Server Error." I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the OS, Rebooting in safe mode, nothing's worked. Any Ideas what could be causing this? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Just to be on the same page, opening this link in Safari yields a 500 Internal Server Error? This link still directs to Catalina in the App Store. When you say you can't do it through the App Store, what error are you getting?
Thanks for replying. Yes, that's correct. I was told by Apple support to use that link instead of directly going through the Mac App Store app on launchpad. the only thing I can think of is downloading Catalina on another Mac and making a bootable flash drive, then try upgrading it that way. Not sure what else to do :/
