menubar has empty icon

After removing malwarebytes from my iMac I am left with an 'empty' slot for its icon in the menubar.

I made sure I removed everything I could find of mwbytes but it seems I left something behind. I'd like to-get rid of the empty space in the menubar but cannot think how to go about it. Is there any obvious thing I'm missing?

How to remove dead icons from Launchpad?? (screenshot incl.) The other day without me realizing it, this known malware program name "Top Results" was downloaded onto my Mac. For some odd reason (at the time) I couldn't get Malwarebytes to install, so I did a Safe Boot and uninstall Top Results that way. That I know of, it was removed successfully. But when I go to my Launchpad, the blank icon-like (see screenshot) is still there. No matter what I try, I cannot get it removed. To be sure, I re-tried installing Malwarebytes again, this time I got it up and running. But it doesn't find any malware, etc on my Mac -- according to Malwarebytes, my Mac is clean. Is there, or how-to one can remove what seems to be a dead icon? Many thanks in advance! (MacBook Pro mid-2012; macOS Mojave 10.14.6)

Hi yes, I went through most of the usual processes. Eventually I used 'Find Any File' to locate three more items I'd missed and all is now well. Thanks for you help.
