You are not asking Apple here. Contributors here with decades of Mac experience usually say No.
You do not need any third party protction or cleaing apps. The Mac is like a cat—its system automatically cleans itself, even defrags if needed, and has done so for 20+ years. Adding anti-virus and cleaning apps only slows and destabilizes the computer as they compete with the elegant self-maintenance routines you paid Apple to build into the OS.
We have five working Mac Macs in the house; none have or need anti-virus or cleaning scamware. I've owned Macs since about 1991 and have never installed anti-virus or cleaning software, and we have zero issues.
Please do not fall victim to fear-based marketing.
That is my opinion but I suspect any other senior contributors here will tell you the same thing.
