Sending mail server error message

Hello,

I received the following error message when trying to send an email from my iPad this morning.

The connection to the outgoing server p45-smtp.mail.me.com failed. Additional outgoing mail servers can be configured for Mail accounts in Settings.

any ideas how to fix this? My email address is an iCloud one.
