Deleting Text messages

I mistakenly hit delete conversation on a text message on my ios 8 plus. How can I retrieve them?

Go to:

Settings > Your Name, iCloud, etc

Tap iCloud

Are Messages turned on (green)?

If yes, there is no way to retrieve the deleted message

If Messages are not turned on and you have a backup made from before you deleted the message, you can restore your phone from that backup, but your phone will be restored to the date the backup was made, meaning new messages sent or received after the date the backup was made will be gone.
