Why can’t I delete apps from my phone? I have followed the instructions but it does not give me the option delete!!! Can you please let me know to whom do I address this isue

There are apps that should definitely be able to delete that I downloaded years ago. I don't use anymore and can not delete them. The "DELETE" option never comes up...only "REMOVE FROM HOME SCREEN". So now I've got so much old junk on my phone and I can't delete it!

Maybe it is an app that can't be deleted.

Believe me - I've spent far too long on support.apple!!!! I guess I'm going to have to call. Definitely Frustrating!
