I can’t turn on/off my Samsung tv with the Apple remote. I can control the Samsung soundbar volume though. My tv registers that there is a signal being sent to it however it doesn’t accept it. When the power button is pressed on the Apple remote the tv flashes “Not Available”. In theory it should work because my Amazon fire stick remote could control it.

Thanks. I don’t seem to have hdmi cec on my Samsung tv. That’s why I was hoping there was a way to program the remote manually. If you can program manually to the soundbar why can’t you program for the tv? Instead of sending a signal via hdmi?
