icloud.com (Windows PC) Photos not loading

When logging into icloud.com via Windows PC and viewing the "Photos" section, none of the photos load properly. All come up with a grey background and triangle image with an exclamation point. What is causing this? It seems the photos are not being downloaded from the cloud, but there's no option to start this process. Have tried re-syncing icloud, adjusting settings on the iphone, etc. All options for photo sharing, icloud, syncing are enabled.

It sounds like you’re having problems when you try to View your photos and videos on iCloud.com and we’re happy to help! If you haven't already done so we recommend you follow the steps below and check to see if the problem is still there after each one:


  1. Sign out of iCloud.com and Sign in again: Use iCloud.com on a computer
  2. Close and reopen browser: Close an app in Windows 10
  3. Restart (reboot) your PC
  4. Update Windows 10
  5. Get help with iCloud Photos
  6. If your iCloud Photos aren't loading on your PC
