Headset problem

Recently I was using AKG headset type c connected with my MacBook Air M1. There are no ant issues. Today when I wanted to use the headset, I waited so long for the system preference sound (output) to show the option.

May I know what problem is going on?

WH-1000XM4 with macbook m1 Hi , i have two questions. 1 when i have chat on google meets, when I take off the headphones and back on, the sound does not come back i need disconnect, reconnect the device ? 2 Why the MacBook cannot handle the microphone and headphones in normal quality at the same time on Google Meetings. I used air pods, sony 1000xm4 and they all had the same problem.

Reset the SMC: If you have a Mac with Apple Silicon, just restart your computer.
