zoom crashes on MacBook Air. I have updated operating system to Big Sure from Catalina. Also crashed in Catlina. Also wiped the disked clean. Works on my iPad.

So, is there an operation system on the computer now ?? The issue might not be the OS but Zoom. Have you verified for Big Sur Specific version of their application.
