Deleting APP_OTHER files

I too have large files listed in my storage/manage... (Apple menu About this Mac)... which I can not delete. How can I free up this wasted space?

Apps in storage at Macbook-again Hi! I know this has been asked before but none of the answers has helped me. My storage says that I have 159 GB of Apps and my applications folder says 12 GB... Some indicated that it could be hidden files in Library but that totals only 3,7 GB, Documents totals 1,4 GB and System totals 31,6 GB. Here is what Apple says about the "other" category:

You can check for Time Machine snapshots or other files in your User folder, but cannot manage the other category which fluctuates all the time.
