How to share your contact on iOS and keeping certain items private on iOS; not yet compatible with macOS privacy options

On macOS, you can opt out of sharing certain items you may want to keep private. This is very nice and handy, but do not assume these checkboxes apply to iOS. They don't. And in a public situation, you might not have your iMac with you most likely. For now, the only workaround is to create a separate contact for yourself that is shareable.
