I just noticed updated macOS Big Sur v11.4's Finder and Spotlight doesn't find deleted files in trash folder when searching in "Mac", but it will show them in selected "Trash". Is this by design or a bug?

In general, results from "system" folders are excluded unless you search those locations directly, like the Library folders.
Trash is likely treated the same way.
