Lossless Audio in my vehicle Without Car Play

My vehicle does not support Car Play, (it is an older vehicle) but I can connect my iPhone for Audio via Bluetooth or the Lightning USB cable. If I use my Lighting to USB cable without Car Play, is this sufficient for lossless audio?

I imagine the signal output would be the same regardless, but I'm not sure that you'll hear any difference.

Thanks! I will try it out. I REALLY wish Apple Music would give us an adjustable EQ like Spotify.
