Sometimes this menu pops up on top, I don't know why it happens, or what it is good for, how to solve this?

Nothing strange about it.
It's called Reachability.
"Touch ID button is double-tapped (not pressed).
Tapping the Touch ID button (home button) twice will bring the top half of the iPhone screen
down to the middle of the display.
This means controls or apps at the top of the screen can be reached without using a second hand."
If some feature is active without your knowlegde, without any apparent use, strange is certainly an appropriate word.
You still enabled it yourself.
Per default it's set to off.
No I did not. And if I did, by accident.
A friendly benevolent attitude certainly makes any conversation more pleasant, don’t you think 😉 ?
I only said it is not on by default; so you must have enabled it yourself.
What's unfriendly about that??
