Apple Watch not uploading podcasts oldest to newest

I have all my podcasts on my phone set to play from oldest to newest. And indeed, on my phone, they play from oldest to newest.

But on my Apple Watch (SE), they load from newest to oldest. And I can't figure out how to switch that.

Manually manage podcasts downloaded to Apple Watch I recently got a Series 3 Apple Watch, and I'd like to use it to listen to podcasts while I run. Desired behavior: Manually manage the episodes that are downloaded to my watch. I can do this on my phone by pressing the "+" button next to a given episode, and then the "cloud" button. But there doesn't seem to be a way to do this on the watch. My watch is synced to my iPhone, and I have the option of selecting either: Up Next, which will download the episode that my phone thinks is "up next" for up to 10 podcasts, or Custom, which will download as many episodes as possible for shows that I select. Is there any way I can just manually pick the episodes I want downloaded to my watch, instead of Apple trying to figure this out for me? Or, if not, how can I view the episodes that are currently downloaded on the watch? Thanks!

Podcasts not downloading to Apple Watch I have a new Apple Watch 5 and since I’ve had it it’s never been able to download a full podcast to the watch. I’ve tried restarting both and I have all the latest updates. I charge them both together but I just get the ‘updating message’ the same is true for music. please advise.

Can I force download a podcast to Apple Watch? I would like to listed to a news podcast when I run in the morning, without my iPhone. The podcast is released early in the morning, around the time I wake up, so my watch doesn’t have time to auto-download it. After I wake up and have my watch on, is there a way that I can force my watch to download the podcast? It would be a pain to have to take my watch off, go back upstairs, put it on the charger and wait for it to download (as I have no control over exactly when the watch will download it). When I tap on the podcast (it has the little empty cloud symbol) it begins to play immediately, which I assume starts the download process, though there is no progress bar or indication if it completely downloaded. The last time I tried this, the podcast stopped about half way when I was listening to it. I wish Apple considered a situation like mine where a podcast is released after regular overnight charging and a person then wants to listed to it from their watch. A simple “Download now” option would address this. I’d be happy to manually download the podcast if Apple gave me a means to do so, and to know it’s been fully downloaded. Giving the watch the ability to play podcasts and music without a phone is great, but not giving us more control over that process, when we need it, is a failure on Apple’s part.

Yes apparently there is no way to organize them like that on the watch presently. You could log it as an issue here:
