iPhone SE 2020 Constantly Changing Brightness
And I mean every time I pick it up, it’s at some different brightness. Auto-brightness is turned off, restarted the phone a couple of times. It’s driving me crazy!

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, the brightness changes unexpectedly on your iPhone. We'll do our best to assist.
You mentioned Auto-Brightness isn't enabled, but do you happen to have True Tone enabled? See: Adjust the brightness and color temperature on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch If so, disable it to test it out.
Expected behavior:
- The iPhone will dim after a period of time without interaction, if interaction occurs while dimmed; it will return to the brightness it previously was set to on the iPhone.
- If the interior temperature exceeds normal operating range, it will protect its internal components by attempting to regulate its temperature.
- This may happen when using graphics-intensive or augmented-reality apps or features: Including when you set it up for the first time, restore a backup, etc.
